“Good communication is just as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after.” – Anne Morough Lindbergh
Ever go for coffee with a friend to catch up?
The conversation starts simple enough. How’s life? How’s the girlfriend? She has a kid on the way? Did I hear you changed jobs?
But as the conversation gets moving and the two of you have found your common ground among the coffee grounds, the topics begin to shift.
Can one ever truly love another if they don’t first love themselves? Why do some people distrust authority figures so much? What do you think it’ll be like for people to live on Mars?
If you’re like me and my friends, that’s happened a lot.
And I love it.
This blog is a collection of many of the ideas inspired from these very types of conversations. We’ll talk about all sorts of things, from sociology to psychology, from sex to who gets to eat the last slice of pizza (and what that says about them).
I hope in these posts that you find your own mind stimulated and inspired as well. If so, please feel welcome to reach out and comment.
Because at the end of the day, the reason that I love these conversations so much in the first place, is because I seek to understand the world.
So let’s pick it apart and understand it together.
